Organizing Beach Wedding in Turkey

Organizing a wedding is a difficult job. Organizing beach wedding in Turkey was even more difficult—maybe not all of Turkey. A developing summer city in Turkey is a better phrase, indeed.

I can’t believe It has been 4 years already. When I was not married, I used to ask people how long they had been married. I always got different answers from the couples. And I used to think people didn’t care about these important dates as much as I did. And now, whenever I ask Fatih how long we have been married, he always mixes our marriage dates and our first date anniversary. You shouldn’t be so sure about yourself! See, my husband also mixes the dates. ??‍♀️

He has an objection to that, though. He always tells me that he doesn’t care about the date (he never forgets the anniversaries, by the way) but the years we spent together and the memories we collected together. I know; I have a sweetheart husband.

In honor of our 4th anniversary, I decided to share my wedding photos. My story of organizing my beach wedding in Turkey for the first time is on my blog.

1. The City

You’re a foreigner who wants to marry in a beautiful beach town in Turkey if you read my English blog. (You’re in the right place because you found a Turkish native who has lived in NY for 10 years and knows what you are looking for ??‍?.) It’s a cheaper wedding destination than Italy, South of France or Spain. So, you are on the right track.

Fatih and I married on May 18th, 2013, in Mersin, Turkey. (Traditionally, Weddings take place in the groom’s hometown in Turkey.) I was so lucky traditional-wise because I always wanted a beach wedding.

Mersin is the hometown of Fatih, the city neighboring my hometown, Adana. It has the beautiful turquoise color of the Mediterranean Sea. This city has many historical ruins and sites because it used to have ancient trade roots. It was an important coastal town. (Check more on Google.)

Mersin is a developing beach town. It’s hard to find a high-quality yet chic, modern Western-style hotel in this place. But it will be much cheaper compared to the West coast of Turkey. Cities like Izmir, Mugla, Aydin, and perhaps even Antalya are the places you should check.

2. The Hotel

As I mentioned above, there are several five-star hotels in Mersin. But the problem is that the hotels are too orientalist for my taste. All the golden decorations and classical Ottoman furniture are definitely not my taste.

I was looking for something more natural, even old and rustic. I was ready to create handmade stuff, but it’s really hard when you are only one person and no one to help you.

Luckily, we found this beautiful boutique hotel with a Blue Flag beach. The hotel is very careful about saving the Loggerhead Sea Turtle, which is under protection because they are facing extinction. We love the hotel’s nature so much, so we decided to do our wedding in this beautiful hotel. We didn’t have to decorate the environment much because the setup was ready for a wedding.

I’d love to inspire people. I hope you enjoy our wedding photos and get one or two ideas from our lovely wedding.

We captured the most incredible moments of our beach wedding in Turkey through enchanting beach wedding photos. The natural and rustic setting perfectly complemented our desire for a unique and heartfelt celebration. With the breathtaking Blue Flag beach as our backdrop, we embraced the hotel’s commitment to conserving the Loggerhead Sea Turtle, creating unforgettable memories that reflect our love for nature. 4. Party and Music Arrangements

We were fortunate to find amazing wedding musicians in Turkey who brought our beach wedding celebration to life. The rhythmic melodies and soulful tunes filled the air, creating an atmosphere of pure joy and romance. The talented musicians skillfully performed a mix of classic and contemporary songs that resonated with our guests and created unforgettable moments on the dance floor. The party arrangements were seamless, with the hotel’s staff ensuring that everything flowed smoothly throughout the night. Get ready to groove and be swept away by the magical music and vibrant energy as you browse through our wedding photos.

      Dear Magda,

Thank you very much for visiting my blog.

And I’m absolutely thrilled that you love my dress. It’s important to pick a dress never outdated. I’m was kind of afraid what if my dress looked outdated after 4 years.

      Love,

      B.
