Color Blocking Times of the Year

May 25, 2017

It’s great to be back to NY. Traveling is great but you really miss your home and your routine. This is why┬áI decided to do 5 days off every 3 months for traveling and 15 days offs for every 6 months for long distances traveling like Bora Bora, Thailand or Zanzibar etc.

I was kind of worried about New York’s weather when we come back. What if the weather was hell like temperature. It wasn’t. čÖé I kind of like this weather. Because neither you feel cold nor hot. The perfect spring weather. Even though┬ásummer officially hasn’t┬ábeen arrived we all long for it because of this past winter. OMG, I don’t wanna remember.

I decided on this colourful office look in honour of my return to work. I don’t know how many times I style┬áthis skirt (1,2). It’s one those piece you buy one but really wanna buy another because you don’t want it to get worn off so easily. I wish I would have done that almost 9 years ago. This skirt was my sister’s gift for my graduation. Because I was graduated from business school she wanted to buy something┬áclassic but still very young and hip.

Blouse: Mango
Skirt: Koton
Shoes: H&M
Bag: Aliexpress
Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
Watch: Daniel Wellington
Earrings: Brooklyn Bazaar
Lipstick: Mac

She was definitely my style inspiration for a very long time. Always have a very colourful style and very brave to mix opposite colour. She was the queen of colour blocking when the times was 2001. In honour of my sister’s influence on my style, I picked this blush pink colour blouse to make color blocking. I really like the deep cut in the back. It’s also very thin perfect for summer.

I also wanted to style my look with more modern jewelry and accessories. Color blocking can be sometimes boring even frumpish. This is why I think my geometric shape earrings and new edition Daniel Wellington Classic Petite watch made perfect modern touches.
