Birdies Shoes Review – An Honest Review

Birdies Shoes is a San Francisco-based women-led company that offers some of the most comfortable shoes on the market. I have been curious about Birdies for a long time and was looking for comfortable shoes, especially flats. I am so glad I finally had a chance to try Birdies Flats. Here is my Birdies Shoes review.

Comfort (5/5)

Firstly, I want to write about the comfort level. Since majority of flat shoes are known for their uncomfortable structure. It is one of the first questions that comes to mind. It’s truly one of the most comfortable flats that I have ever worn. I love the seven-layer cushion insole. It’s very soft, almost like you are wearing a pair of sneakers. Yet you have the simple chicness of flats. My shoes are genuine calf hair starling flats. And Insole is a velvety satin texture in champagne color. Every detail about these shoes is absolutely perfection.

Also, I hate blisters on the back of my feet whenever I start wearing new shoes. That’s the most annoying part about having a new pair of flats. Surprisingly, I haven’t had this problem with Birdies Starling flats at all. If you have thinner foot skin like I do and have issues with blisters, I guarantee you 100% you won’t have this problem with these flats.

Design (4/5)

Birdies have a very simple design. My Birdies have calf hair, and I like the rawness of the material. However, as a vast heels lover, I found that Birdies have nice designs, but they look so grown up rather than the modern sophistication you generally have with brands like The Row, Khaite or Toteme. I love the quilted satin insole, though. It gives Birdies an extra luxury sense. The color and the texture are just so perfect.

Quality (5/5)

The quality of Birdies is truly amazing. I didn’t find a simple faulty trimming or broken joints in any part of the shoes. They are very thoroughly made. I don’t know if they are handmade shoes, but their quality feels good. (This review is updated and edited to fix broken links and grammar errors. After four years, I found Birdies Starling flats almost new-like. So the quality of the shoes is also guaranteed.)

The Birdies are not that expensive. Considering the quality of the shoes, they are reasonable. Considering everything is getting so much expensive for the last 4-5 years. The prices remain relatively similar when I first wrote this article four years ago.
