2019 is the last year a Fashion Week collection will be designed and orchestrated by the late, great Karl Lagerfeld. Though, it is evident that his influence will live long within the fashion community as we collectively mourn his loss. Lagerfeld’s final showcase of Fendi is nothing short of stellar. Join us as we embark on this bittersweet Milan Fashion Week: Fendi Fall 2019 Collection review.

Our Favourite Looks
Fendi’s Fall 2019 collection started off with a striking opening look to headline the runway. The calfskin suit is clean and structured without neglecting the feminine form. Punctuated by a gigantic bow and sheer monogram FF tights, the details of this piece are to die for.
Simplicity and structure are recurring themes in this Fendi 2019 collection. This second look thrives on a sharp silhouette. A blouse this defined at the neckline commands attention, but the smooth tailoring of the trousers is just as gravitational.
Heavily neutral brown sugar and cream coloring permeates this collection. However, the café color scheme is interrupted by the fitted black tulle skirt and azure above the ankle boots. Despite the edgy embellishments, the prim and proper Fendi trademark is ever-present.
Open texture can be hard to read as expensive and high fashion, but Fendi has redefined couture at the core. Contrasting netting is strategically eye-catching and the high waisted skirt is practically molded to the model. A celebrity that we could see rocking this entire look from head to toe is Rihanna.
Utter decadence describes this look from the silk caramel blouse to the rich chocolate colored trousers. Red shoes pop beneath the flowing hemline of the pants and compliment the model’s bold makeup. The entire look is truly stunning.
