Babymoon is actually a vacation you decide to go before the baby or babies (in our case) arrive. We didn’t think of this vacation as babymoon in the first place. We think It’s gonna be hard to go to Turkey with the babies so often (We only visit Turkey once a year If something extreme happened). This is why we want to visit our families and south of Turkey for some beach vacations.
Then our doctor told us we should go earlier than June because I have to do my glucose test for sixth months. And during April and May, our beach vacation never gonna happen because the sea temperature is not warm enough yet. So we change our mind to go to somewhere in Europe. Paris or Italy or two countries. But we were so late to apply visas for all the countries in Europe. So we have to change our minds again.
Maldives are definitely not in our mind because We’ve been there already once for our honeymoon. But we fell in love with those islands and always wanted go back. Luckily when I was doing my FIT homework, I picked the topic of “vacation”. While I was jumping from Kayak to Booking.com and all the other travel sites I saw incredible deals about Maldives. Seven days, 6 nights bed and breakfast and flights something around $1100 to $1300 (tax and hotel charges are not included) which is not that bad at all because we paid fortuned last time (totally worth it though).
So I showed Fatih what I saw, he literally jumped on it. We started to check resorts we like the most. Velassaru was the best option from all. Fatih went crazy about luxury, he wanted a private pool beach villa. So the prices I am looking doubled. We picked a private sunrise pool villa. It was the best decision we’ve made. Because I have so much fun before babies came and I’m glad we did vacation I still feel that relaxation from the vacation we had.
Velassaru is definitely a very nice hotel but not close to my previous experience. All the stuff is very nice especially our housekeeper Mohamed was a sweetheart. What was different than our previous experience is actually hidden in details. We never heard “no” while we are staying in Six Senses and everything we want to do kind of thought before we even talk about them. I want to meet with social media team in Velassaru, they kindly responded me on IG but they didn’t meet me in person. When we stay in Six Senses I told our GEM that I was a blogger, he immediately suggests me to meet with their social media manager. These small details what make your experience unforgettable.
I am still very grateful to have an opportunity to go Maldives again. This is what I’d like to do every year. 5-6 days of cultural vacation like going to cities like Paris, London visiting all the museums and nice coffee shops and restaurants. Then this kind of “I don’t want to do anything but sunbathing” vacations for 4 to 6 days. And finally 3-4 days of escape from the city like going east to Hamptons.
I haven’t gone to Hamptons yet this summer. But I definitely wanna go before the babies arrive.
I picked so many photos from our vacation but I wanna both show how was our resort and what to bring to vacations like babymoon, honeymoon or any tropical destinations.
So guys what do you think of my babymoon? I think I deserve this before two babies come into my world. At the end, nothing’s gonna be same in my world ever again. 🙂

I’m so glad I bought that dress. It’s my lifesaver currently in 27 weeks. I hope i can wear it until very end 🙂
I’m glad you are one of those lucky ones that see the heaven on earth. This was my second time and I enjoy every second of it. I kind of wanna go there annually. Your body and mind needs that kind of treatment yearly.
I can’t wait to check it our your blog post.
Yes, I definitely think you deserve a babymoon!! And what a destination too, it looks gorgeous and so relaxing, just what you need before your journey of being a mom of two begins. You’re making me crave a tropical vacation 🙂
