Thanks to Rodan + Fields for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
After I passed my 30th age and became a mom in the same year, I was more concerned about my skincare. I started to read about skincare products religiously. Even long ago, I had no idea the difference between serum and moisturizer. And I was thinking like, “Is it necessary to use both serum and moisturizer?” and “How different does a face serum from a moisturizer?”.
Keeping these questions in mind, I learned about specific ingredients like Hyaluronic Acid, AHAs, BHAs. They were all sci-fi terminology to me before. Lol. And they are my best friend now.
Jokes aside, face serums are probably my favorite skincare stage in my skincare routine. That’s why I am all about it when I discover a new serum. Because serums are generally the essential part of the journey of my skin concerns, I have seen the map of my maturity around my eyes and forehead. It’s a good thing to age, though. You get wiser and less concerned that things don’t matter. But the price is often coming back as lines here and there in your face. As a result, I happened to make anti-aging serum my best friends. Before I go and talk about my latest favorite anti-aging face serum, I want to explain a bit more about the difference between serum and moisturizer.
Why do I need serum and moisturizer at the same time?
Serums have a lighter and thinner potency. And they can have a variety of functions and roles in skincare. Like Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum, some serums specifically focus on anti-aging.
Serums usually have a higher complexity than moisturizers with smaller molecular structures with high concentrations of ingredient formulas. We use serums for correcting, nourishing and focusing on particularly problematic areas of the skin. A moisturizer’s job is relatively simple. To hydrate the skin and prevent water loss.
For this reason, if your serum, let’s say focusing on brightening your skin, doesn’t probably have the components to prevent water loss and moisturizing. Or It’s not strong enough like a moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated all day long.
Enough of my educational chitchat, but to tell you more about my new obsession over Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum. I have started to use Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum while I was in Miami for my mini vacation. As you can imagine, the Miami weather was not forgiving, still scorching. I wanted to bring my new serum to keep my skin in its steady condition.
I have visible dullness and loss of firmness towards the end of the summer. And I was looking for a new serum that could bring energy to my skin. I read Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum has proprietary RF TriEnergy Complex formula that contains Sandalwood to help minimize the look of fine lines, Indian Kino Tree Extract to help skin look more even-toned, and Omega 6 Essential Fatty Acids that are specially modified to enhance penetration at the skin’s surface, serves as building blocks to create a supple, plumper-looking complexion.
Rodan and Field’s patented RF3 Antioxidant Complex technology fortifies skin to be more resilient and defend against environmental aggressors for even-looking skin. Perfect timing for the Miami’s heat while I was down there.
Since the second week of September, I have been using Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum, and my skin retains its moisture better than ever, and the result is fantastic. My lines appear smoother, and that dullness seems to be less visible. Waking up to plumper feel
One other thing I love about Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum is its scents and texture. You know me well that I don’t particularly appreciate when a skincare product is sticky. The surface is fantastic. This serum is weightless, and you don’t even know if you had that layer. And smell reminds me of rose, but it’s probably coming from Sandalwood, one of my favorite smells. And the color is pearl-like. I love it.
But this revolutionary bottle is impressive. Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum has a refillable bottle. You replace the inner vial about every two months, and 90% of this package is made from recyclable materials. If you want to be more sustainable with the purchase decisions, Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum is an excellent start with its reusable packaging.
How to Use Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum?
I use Rodan and Fields Total RF Serum for AM and PM with my Rodan + Fields Redefine Regimen. If you also use Redefine Regimen, follow my steps:
1. I double wash my face with Daily Foaming Cleanser and Daily Clay Cleanser
2. I use Redefine Pore Refining Toner,
3. I use my Turkish rose water as a second toner; it’s just something I love to add to my skincare routine.
4. It’s time for Rodan + Fields Total RF Serum,
5. Finish up with REDEFINE Triple Defense Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in the morning and REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Lotion at night.
This is the third week of using R+F Total RF Serum. My skin’s uneven tone is visibly improved. My skin texture is also visibly more refined already.
Please ask me any questions you have about Rodan + Fields product. I am happy to answer them.
