Celine Spring 2020 Paris Fashion Week Review

Bohemian patterns, luxe furs, delicate ruching, and bootcut denim comprise the Celine Spring 2020 collection in an ode to Parisian fashion of the 60s and 70s. The color scheme is full of nudes, blues, and earthy hues that will steer you away from the usual springtime pastels. Read ahead to get the rundown of our favorite looks from the show and watch it in it’s entirety below.

Our Favorite Looks

Look 24

Whoever said that hippies can’t be chic, has clearly never seen a Celine ensemble. From head to toe, this look is executed perfectly. Being that I’m extra, I would wear this type of outfit to a local farmer’s market with no regrets. My favorite pieces of this look are definitely the belted jeans and the quilted blazer.

Look 29

Okay, and, hear me out – I love denim skirts and I will continue to wear them in 2019 and beyond. So this long, patched masterpiece called my name. Yet, the best part of this look to me is actually the silhouette. Visually, this look is very compelling from a distance and prompts you to want to see more.

Look 35

Monogrammed prints never go out of style or season which brands like Fendi and Celine prove. I don’t know why, but when I first saw this look come down the runway I couldn’t help but feel like it’s something I could see J.LO wearing. Maybe it’s just the oversized aviators, but this outfit just scoffed and said “I’m a diva, don’t look at me.”

Look 40

Honestly, this look had to grow on me. At first, I thought there was too much going on, but once I noticed the mosaic-like texture of the trousers I was sold. I’m easily dazzled by glimmer, yes, but it’s actually the fit that I like.

Look 58

Last but not least, this barely-there black look is right out of AHS: Coven. I really appreciate Celine’s departure from a traditional spring color palette like I mentioned before. The gown itself is gorgeous and glittering. And if you look closely, you can’t miss the tiny, tasseled coin purse.
