To say that there are creative minds behind the extravagant Area designs is an understatement. Since its inception, the brand has been known for outlandish, otherworldly looks. However, Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Panszczyk have gone full on extraterrestrial with the Area Fall 2020 collection. Take a look at our selection and decide for yourself if Area is simply artsy or totally out there.
Our Favorite Looks
Don’t judge me, I know I picked a relatively tame look to begin our list, but neon is so in. Not to mention, this look – minus the choker of human hair – is a vision of my dream aesthetic from the rhinestone accents, metallic heart clutch, and even the beaded Chinese style slippers.
I want someone to email me when Ariana Grande wears this in her next music video. All jokes aside (even though I’m serious), I love this completely off-kilter business-like bodysuit. Note that this model also has her hair wrapped around her neck, which is a running theme with Area.
Another seemingly wearable look by Area. I included this casual jumpsuit look solely because of the crossbody purse that is molded to resemble a metal folding chair. You know, like the ones you see in someone’s basement? Totally chic.
Queen of Hearts, who? I am seriously in love with not only the gown, but this entire look. Normally, I pair gold with this shade of red and I see now that that’s a mistake. The silver handbag coupled with the sparkling shoes and headpiece is so modernistic.
Braided rhinestones merge into a waterfall of droplets at the waist to bring life to the phrase ‘dripping in diamonds’. This is the type of outfit I would imagine a Flapper wearing in some futuristic reality where that occupation is still a thing. Nonetheless, the look is gorgeous.
Honorable Mentions
Though these looks weren’t quite our favorite, we still wanted to include them.
