Loccitane The Best Shampoo for Oily Hair

The Miracles Happen – L’occitane: The Best Oily Hair Shampoo

I start to believe in miracles. Miracles can happen, really. After I used L’occitane (Read like Lox-ee-taan), I see a big difference in my extremely oily hair. Let me tell my story from the beginning. This is the story of how I discover The Best Oily Hair Shampoo – L’occitane.

Since high school, I have the oiliest (Is that a word?) hair. My hair gets oily just over a day. If I wash my hair in the morning, It gets oily around the night time or if I am lucky to next morning. I love to use bangles for so long, but my hair makes it hard to use bangs because that part shows how oily your hair even worse.

After those horrific days in high school, I somehow manage to stay for 2 days without washing my hair. It was kind of good times when I’ve lived in Istanbul while going to university and also in my professional work career for 2 years. But after I moved to New York that was 6 years ago, my hair problems started again. My hair got very oily from the scalp, but the ends were parched. It’s the worst combination ever. I couldn’t stay longer with that messy dry ends because they were tangled all the time, especially wintertime. My hairdresser chopt my hair on my shoulder level, which I never use my hair like that. Because I love the long Rapunzel-like hair.

Meanwhile, I keep searching for the right product. I don’t know how many different hair products I tried. Mainstream ones, the ones with organic ingredients, the ones which were advertised as a single product for oily/greasy hairs… I didn’t get lucky by any means. So I gave up and just kept washing my hair every day.

I found the Miracle in the Maldives

L’occitane – The Best Oily Hair Shampoo

Finally, I found the one in May 2017! The resort we stayed in the Maldives provides us L’occitane products as vanity items. Even though I use so many other L’occitane products like body oil, hand and foot cream, lip balm, roll on… I’ve never thought of trying their shampoo. I didn’t understand the difference right away, but when I used the last bottle I have when I was in Dubai, I realized I have a massive difference in my hair. First of all, they never got tangled like they used to be, the oily feel was not there and bonus, my hair loss decreased to almost zero even though I am pregnant. (It was terrible in my first three months, the hair was everywhere! eww!)

There is nothing other than my favorite shampoo in my hair in this photo. And look at how shiny my hair.

When I got back home, the first thing I do was ordering “Aromachologie Repairing Shampoo.” Don’t hesitate about this product just because It says they use 5 different oils for the shampoo. My first thought was what if my hair gets even more oily because of the oil ingredients. I have no idea how they work, but these natural oils somehow fix your problems on your scalp and prevent getting oily and hair loss.

You will find that I rarely write about these kinds of reviews. I am afraid that people are going to think. It’s a paid article or something. The reason I wanted to write about L’occitane is simply I know your misery about oily hair. I’ve been there, and I know how annoying It is. So this product works for me in the best possible ways. I want that It works for you, too. If It works, please comment here, so we celebrate our oil-free days together 🙂

This is not a sponsored post, It’s my experience with this brand. I only use my affiliate (RewardStyle and Shopstyle) link, which is nothing to do with L’occitane. If you decided to purchase the products using my links, I earn small commissions.
